Power, Control, and Flexibility
The Microlynx M4000 High-Frequency Transmitter is a transmit system
designed specifically for Over-The-Horizon Radar applications operating in the 3 to 30 MHz HF band.
These radar systems use signals refracted off the ionosphere to detect fast-moving threats that are
                 still thousands of kilometers away.

Microlynx has used its decades of engineering design experience, and especially its
experience with previous generations of HF over-the-horizon radar transmitters, to develop a complete
end-to-end transmit site. The Microlynx M4000 system includes waveform generation, amplification and
filtering, and communication and control. All subsystems have been designed to operate seamlessly
                 together with the highest reliability.

					M4100 Arbitrary Waveform Generator
The M4100 Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) converts In-phase (I) and Quadrature (Q) digital waveform data stored in files
to an analog modulated RF carrier.

						- Can control 1 to 4 independent 4 kW transmitters
- State of the art digital to analog conversion supports amplitude and phase shading to support beam streering
- Clean signal generation start-up and termination ensures no transmission of unintended artifacts
- 8T of storage available for waveform files

M4000-4KW High Power Amplifier and Filter
The M4000-4KW High Power Amplifier operates over the frequency range of 3 to 30 MHz and provides an
output power level of not less than four kilowatts over the entire operating range.

					    - Designed to be able to indefinitely withstand and operate with a 100% load mismatch (VSWR = ∞) at any phase angle
- Adaptive power control quickly reduces excessive forward power to ensure system and operator safety and minimize input power requirements
- Fault-tolerant design with auto-shutdown in the event of a configuration error or hardware malfunction
- Network interface for control and health monitoring

					M4500 GPSDO
The M4500 GPS Disciplined Oscillator provides an ultra-clean 10 MHz frequency reference and stable 1 pulse-per-second time
reference for waveform generation and synchronization.

						- Precision 1 PPS and 10 MHz signal generator
- GPS-based time-of-day source
- Supports a 'kill switch' safety mechanism that can instantly halt transmission in case of an emergency

					M4600 Operator Console
The M4600 Operator Console is a comprehensive Graphical User Interface that can control, monitor and log the complete
             system operation.

						- Standard Windows application can run on off-the-shelf hardware
- Provides a real-time view of the system status, and forward and reverse powers with
the ability to drill down into individual components for detailed status
- Ability to graph power vs time for individual and aggregate channels
- Ability to schedule complex sequences of waveform patterns for future transmission
- Detailed time-stamped logs containing real-time status information, user actions and significant events
