Job Description

We are currently looking for an Firmware Developer and a Schematic Capture / PCB Layout Designer. These positions will involve aspects of electronics design and development under the direction of a senior engineer.

Firmware Developer:

• Firmware coding for ARM-based controllers in C and C++
• Potential FPGA design work using VHDL
• Assisting with writing specifications, technical documents, and reports

Schematic Capture / Layout Designer:

• Basic electronics design
• Schematic design and circuit board layout (using Orcad/Cadence or Altium)
• Hardware debugging and testing, prototype assembly (digital, analog, RF)

Educational and professional requirements

• Firmware Developer: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Computer Science
• PCB Layout: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, or Technologist Diploma
• Both positions require eligibility for obtaining a Canadian security clearance

About you:

Ideally you have three years of experience. Our positions require people who can successfully work on their own having been given a task or project. Even though you're independent, you know when it's time to reach out for help when problem solving. You have the ability to listen and to communicate clearly in writing and when speaking.
